Project & fractional engagements
Join our talent community for consideration as client needs arise. Scope, availability, compensation, location, and the appropriate working arrangement are confirmed for each opportunity.
Bring deep HR expertise, sound judgment, and care for people. Help us build the kind of consulting practice that strengthens both the client and the professionals doing the work.

We work with organizations across the U.S. and are building toward a global practice. California knowledge is valuable for California work; it is not a requirement for every Maven. Tell us the states, countries, sectors, systems, and languages you know well.
Join our talent community for consideration as client needs arise. Scope, availability, compensation, location, and the appropriate working arrangement are confirmed for each opportunity.
Our growth plans include employee roles. When a position is available, we will publish a separate opening with its responsibilities, location eligibility, compensation information, and benefits.
We welcome expressions of interest from professionals outside the U.S. Engagements depend on client needs and our ability to establish lawful employment or contracting arrangements in the relevant location.
This page collects interest for future opportunities. It does not announce a specific vacancy, guarantee an assignment, or establish an employment or contractor relationship.
Before work starts, we agree in writing on responsibilities, deliverables, compensation, payment timing, and how changes are approved.
We explain the client’s mission, the problem behind the assignment, and how your work contributes to the intended outcome.
We provide the context, approved tools, access, and contacts needed for the assignment, including security requirements and decision-making responsibilities.
We agree on check-ins and a route for questions or escalation. You can ask for a second perspective and raise concerns respectfully.
We discuss availability, meeting windows, travel, and workload before you commit. Changes to the assignment prompt a review of scope and capacity.
We offer useful feedback and an end-of-engagement conversation about outcomes, strengths, and development. Future opportunities depend on demonstrated skills and business needs.
These are commitments to how we work together. They are separate from employee benefit plans. Health coverage, paid leave, retirement benefits, training budgets, and other role-specific benefits will be described only when approved and included in an actual job posting or offer.
Show how you have solved problems in your specialty. Explain your role, the decisions you made, and the result without disclosing a former employer’s or client’s confidential information.
Know the limits of your knowledge. Verify requirements, identify the relevant jurisdiction, and involve legal, tax, privacy, or other qualified professionals when needed.
Check the details, document your reasoning, and make recommendations people can follow. Good work must be accurate, practical, and appropriate for the client’s resources.
Honor agreed deadlines, protect the quality of handoffs, and flag a risk early. Bring the issue, its likely impact, and a proposed next step.
Use approved systems, limit access, protect employee and client information, and disclose permitted AI assistance. Never put confidential information into an unapproved tool or present unchecked AI output as your expertise.
Listen carefully, communicate accessibly, and work well across backgrounds, cultures, roles, and time zones. Disagreement should improve the work without diminishing the person.
Disclose conflicts of interest, represent your capabilities honestly, and respect agreed boundaries. We value professionals who can deliver a difficult truth with care.

Share your background, work locations, specialties, availability, and the type of opportunity you want.
When there is a relevant need, we discuss your experience, judgment, working style, and expectations. You should learn about HRM, too.
We may use a short hypothetical scenario or an anonymized example to understand your approach. We will explain the exercise in advance; we do not ask candidates to perform unpaid client work.
If there is a mutual fit, we confirm references or other appropriate checks, the role or scope, compensation, working arrangement, and onboarding. Any required checks follow applicable law.
This is an expression-of-interest page for our talent community. It is not a specific job posting. Future employee openings will have their own published requirements and application instructions; project opportunities depend on client demand.
Yes. Indicate your preference when you introduce yourself. We plan to add employee roles as the business grows, but submitting interest does not create a role or promise a hiring timeline.
No. We welcome specialists across the U.S. The location requirements depend on the engagement, the client’s workforce, and the expertise needed.
Yes, you can express interest. Please include your country, time zone, languages, and relevant market experience. Before any work begins, HRM must be able to establish an appropriate arrangement and meet applicable local requirements. We are not promising current hiring capability in every country.
No sponsorship or employer-of-record arrangement is promised through this page. If a future opening supports a specific arrangement, the posting or engagement discussion will say so explicitly.
That depends on the opportunity. We will identify meeting windows, time-zone overlap, travel, and any on-site expectations before you commit. Remote work is not a guarantee that a role can be performed from any location.
Compensation is based on the role or engagement, expertise, scope, and location. Rates or salary and payment terms are confirmed in writing before work begins. Employee benefits will be specified in individual postings and offers; project agreements have their own terms.
No. Joining the talent community does not guarantee work, a minimum number of hours, or a start date. Any agreed hours and availability requirements will be stated in the relevant role or engagement terms.
Credentials such as SHRM or HRCI certifications can support your application, but they do not replace demonstrated expertise. A particular role may require a credential, license, or specialist experience; that requirement will be stated for the opportunity.
You may express interest. Be transparent about availability, conflicts, confidentiality obligations, and any restrictions from your existing agreements. The working arrangement must be compatible with the role or engagement.
No. We welcome specialists and experienced generalists. Be specific about where you can lead independently, where you collaborate, and where you would need additional support.
Include a résumé or professional profile, specialties, location, availability, and a brief example of relevant work. Do not send employee records, investigation files, client documents, identification numbers, or other confidential material.
If your background aligns with an opportunity, HRM will contact you using the details you provide. We cannot promise an individual response or a timeline for every expression of interest. You can email us to update or withdraw your interest.
Yes. Contact humanresources@hrmavencollective.com to discuss an accessible way to participate. You do not need to include medical details in your initial message.
We value clear thinking and relevant experience. A thoughtful introduction tells us more than a list of buzzwords.
